use-casesB2B deployments

Where BEACAN ships first.

Three primary deployments. One protocol. Each tier of the BEACAN architecture maps to a customer category with sharp value and clear integration.

01 / financial_services

Verify human callers before they authorize money movement.

Voice cloning fraud against banks rose 442% in 2024. The Arup engineering deepfake fraud — $25M wired to attackers — put every bank fraud team on notice. Existing voice authentication is built on passive AI detection: exactly the approach degrading as cloning quality improves.

BEACAN inserts a brief challenge before existing identity verification runs. The bank receives a confidence score on whether the speaker is a biological human. Score-based routing decisions follow.

Customer

Banks, credit unions, wealth management firms with phone-based authorization workflows. Fraud teams, wealth management compliance leads, account recovery operations, commercial banking call centers.

Scenario

A customer calls the fraud line or wealth management line to authorize a high-value transaction. Before existing identity verification runs, BEACAN inserts a brief challenge. Score-based routing decisions follow.

02 / telemedicine
Customer

Telemedicine platforms, hospital telehealth programs, telepsychiatry and direct-to-consumer prescribing services.

Scenario

A patient connects to a virtual visit. Before consultation begins, both patient and provider pass a brief BEACAN check. For higher-stakes visits — controlled substance prescribing, mental health prescribing — Tier 2 layers in optional wearable correlation.

Integration

SDK integration into the pre-visit flow. The check runs during connection establishment and produces a verified-visit cryptographic certificate stored with the visit record.

RECIPROCAL VERIFICATION

BEACAN’s reciprocal nature — both patient and provider verified — distinguishes it from one-sided identity checks.

Confirm a real patient is on the call before care decisions.

Telemedicine prescribing fraud is a growing category. The DEA tightened rules on virtual prescribing of controlled substances in 2024. Provider impersonation is a documented attack vector — fraudsters impersonating doctors has been recorded as an active threat.

BEACAN verifies both sides of the call before care begins. For high-stakes visits, Tier 2 layers in physiological signals from existing wearables.

03 / content_provenance

Cryptographic proof that audio and video came from a real human.

C2PA momentum is real. Adobe, Microsoft, BBC, Sony, Nikon, and Canon have publicly committed to content credentials. The standards conversation is happening this year. Platforms and journalism organizations face growing problems with AI-generated submissions and synthetic source recordings.

BEACAN extends C2PA’s “this device captured this content” provenance with biological human origin certification. Not competing with C2PA — extending it. The biological-origin slot is where BEACAN owns the standards conversation.

Customer

Podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Substack), journalism organizations (Reuters, AP, NYT), content authentication services already integrated with C2PA (Adobe, Microsoft, Truepic), media distribution platforms.

Scenario

A podcaster records using a BEACAN-integrated recording tool. During recording, BEACAN runs in the background, periodically issuing brief verification challenges and embedding cryptographic certificates of biological human origin into the audio file.

Strategic positioning

BEACAN extends C2PA's device-capture provenance with biological-origin certification. The biological-origin slot in the C2PA ecosystem is the layer the standards conversation has not yet filled.

04 / expansion

Expansion territory.

Adjacent deployments on the roadmap. Less near-term, same protocol.

Government anti-impersonation

Verify biological humans in citizen services, benefits authorization, and public comment submissions.

Real-person channels

Platform-level verified human signals for social networks and community products.

Anonymous-but-verified

Whistleblower platforms, public comment, surveys — verified human without revealed identity.

Customer support escalation

Confirm a real human is on the line before routing to sensitive or high-cost support tiers.

Beta / waitlist abuse prevention

Filter synthetic signups from access queues. Humanness without identity friction.

API onboarding verification

Verify a human is behind a new developer account before granting elevated API access.
